Capture Cincinnati 2009

Hello everyone,

I am taking part on a photography project called "Capture Cincinnati 2009" hoping that a photograph (or more) of mine is chosen to be added to a coffee table book about Cincinnati and Northern Kentuky area. But the way for my pictures to get selected is with the visitors votes. So please go check them out and if you like them vote for my pics!

The Capture Cincinnati project is all about people. You contribute, you vote, you are the best of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The DVD is an exciting group of slide shows which showcase each and every contributor.

This is the cover of a menu I designed for TAZ, a Lebanese/Greek restaurant in Mason, Ohio. The food is delicious! Here are a couple of pages of the menu.

Cloud Gate

Cloud Gate is British artist Anish Kapoor's first public outdoor work installed in the United States. The 110-ton elliptical sculpture is forged of a seamless series of highly polished stainless steel plates, which reflect the city's famous skyline and the clouds above. A 12-foot-high arch provides a "gate" to the concave chamber beneath the sculpture, inviting visitors to touch its mirror-like surface and see their image reflected back from a variety of perspectives.

Inspired by liquid mercury, the sculpture is among the largest of its kind in the world, measuring 66-feet long by 33-feet high.

I took this picture when I went to visit my sister in Milwaukee. Milwaukee Art Museum, the first Santiago Calatrava-designed building in the United States, features a 90-foot high glass-walled reception hall enclosed by the Burke Brise Soleil, a sunscreen that can be raised or lowered creating a unique moving sculpture.

Balluminaria

Balluminaria is one of the largest tethered hot-air balloon festivals in the country. Nearly a dozen full-size hot-air balloons are secured around Mirror Lake in Eden Park. As dusk falls, the flames that heat the air in the balloons cause them to glow -- an effect that's reflected in the water.

This picture I took at a beautifull park near my appartment, Ault Park. The gardens there in the spring and summer are amazing!. The flower gardens in the park are taken care by families that sponsor the park.
